Description

Rare Mettlach Regimental Train Stein "Eisenbahn-Regiment Nr. 1". 8½" tall, print under glaze. A rare half-liter train stein with a scene of an officer and two men in the foreground and a train and track laying scene in the background. The stein has a pewter eagle thumb lift and the pewter lid features a raised guard star with the "Suum Cuique" motto. The inside of the lid is marked "S-434". The bottom displays the Mettlach abbey trademark, "786 GESCHÜTZT", form number 2140 and 1894 date. There are no visible cracks or chips and the stein is in excellent condition.
