Description
French Cuirass, Circa 1900. A French cuirass breastplate and back plate, complete with chain-link shoulder straps. The breastplate is unmarked but the back plate is stamped with the number "790" near the arm hole. The outside of each plate has been painted silver. The chain linked shoulder straps and brass connecting pieces are complete and in very good condition. The leather waist strap is missing. The plates are in very good condition thought the breastplate has a bullet-sized dent near the wearer's heart.Auction Info
