Description
William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody: Large Wild West Show Poster. 28" x 41.5" stone lithographic poster titled "Buffalo Bill's Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World". The poster is dominated by a nearly full-length depiction of a "Rearing Bucker." Printed by A. Hoen of Baltimore. Mounted on linen and framed to an overall size of 33.5" x 47" using UV filtered Plexiglas. The image is based on a Frederick Remington illustration and is the only Buffalo Bill poster so inspired. An example sold at auction in June 2013 for $10,890. This is the first example we have handled. Excellent condition. Quite attractive.Auction Info
