McChesney Nocona # 97-2
Silver-Mounted McChesney Spurs.Single mounted, hand engraved. 2-inch shank, 1 1/2-inch, 10-point spoke rowels. Chap guards. Silver-mounted button covers below which is marked: MCCHESNEY in 1/16-inch high letters. This dates these spurs to the 1930s during the Nocona period. Stamped brown leathers. See page 97-2 of Lee Jacobs' "J.R. McChesney A Lifetime A Legacy."
Provenance: Roger and Linda Carpenter Collection.
Condition: Fine. Smooth, brown age patina. Scattered fine pitting.
