Horse Brand Certification, Travis County, Texas, August 3, 1868, one page, 7.75" x 12.25". This autograph document certifies five brand marks for "A. D. Houston," listing each of them-"H, C, N, JH, 9"-and the location where they will be used on each horse. The seal of the Travis County Court is embossed to the left of the signature. Near fine condition with some wear along the original folds and some very minor paper loss along the left edge (where the sheet originally was removed from a tablet.Auction Info
