Description
F. H. James of Kemmerer, Wyoming: Double Loop Side Holster and Unmarked Money Belt. The rig has a border tooled hand-stamped double loop skirting leather side holster for a 5½" Colt SAA .44/45 caliber pistol. The gun/money belt measures 31½" to the original middle hole on the belt strap and adjusts down to 30" at the smallest and up to 32½" at the longest original hole. Four later holes were punched in the tongue billet, two professional holes at 32¾" and 33½", and, two crude holes at 34¾" and 35¼". There are double row cartridge loops for sixty-six individual .44/45 caliber rounds. The elongated top loop is marked "F. H. James/ Maker/ Kemmerer, Wyo." in a cartouche. The 3¾" unmarked belt has a clipped corner nickel buckle. Both the holster and belt show moderate, but honest wear.Auction Info
