Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle. Serial no. 531300, .45-70 caliber, 32-inch barrel with slide rod bayonet and Buffington rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened low-arch breechblock dated 1884. Walnut stock with crisp 1891 inspector's cartouche. Sling mounts.Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 30-40% finish with scattered wear, flaking and minor surface rust. Wood with minor wear and bruises. Action very good.
