Flown on the First Mission to the Moon
Apollo 11 Flown American Flag Directly from The Armstrong Family
Collection™, CAG Certified.A 6" x 4" silk flag with clear nylon border stitching that was carried to the moon and back aboard the Apollo Command Module Columbia, July 16-24, 1969. Mission-flown U.S. flags are always in demand by Space collectors but this one, preserved by the first man to step on the moon, is a significant relic of an historic event that a collector of any specialty would treasure.
Condition: One storage fold at bottom left, otherwise excellent. Sealed in a numbered archival holder, CAG 1001407-008.
Provenance: This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
