2¢ Deep Scarlet (UY6), separated reply card used as a post card from St. John's to New York, the printed stamp tied by grid cancel, with Sep 4, 1897 St. John's Central date stamp to the left of the stamp, the card with an interesting and somewhat amusing message to the Insurance Company associate the card is addressed to, Very Fine.Unitrade CAN$125
A number of year after release, separated message and reply cards were sold and used as single post cards. This practice occurred predominantly in the 1920's, with such earlier usages being much scarcer.
