1c Blue, Printed on Both Sides (63e), the impression on the back is fully inked and inverted in relation to the one on the front; cork cancel, two pinholes and irregular perfs, as were present in the one other known example, still Fine.Scott $65,000

Expertization: 2009 PF Certificate
The other, as part of the Robert H. Cunliffe collection, was sold in June of this year for $57,500. In fact, the stamp we offer and the Cunliffe copy were once a pair, this one being immediately to the left of the other in the original pane of 100. Due to the fact that, until this past summer, no example of this error had appeared on the market in many years, the 2009 Scott value was a mere $4,000.
