Expertization: 10p pair with a 1990 PF Certificate

AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE SET OF MINT PAIRS AS ONLY 200 EACH OF THE 4P AND 10P VALUES WERE ISSUED AND A LARGE PERCENTAGE WERE USED.

The 1925 Imperforates were supplied by the Bureau of Printing and Engraving to the Lambert Sales Company of Manila to use on registered packages sent overseas. They were ordered by Lambert ostensibly to cut down on stamp theft within the company. They were in use only between late June and late October, when having to cut the stamps apart was deemed too inconvenient for mass mailings.
