Description

1864, February 25, Montgomery, Ala. Front page of the Montgomery Daily Advertiser, 18¼" x 25½", with a Montgomery c.d.s. in the upper right margin, Fine. Subscription newspapers were sent at the rate 70¢ per quarter on a prepaid basis. Pre-payment was indicated by applying the handstamp of the local post office or by writing upon each paper so sent."
