Description

Neil Armstrong Hand-Drawn Image of the Lunar Module Extraction, One of a Series He Drew for His Father as He Explained NASA's Plans for Going to the Moon. On one of Neil's trips to Wapakoneta to visit his family, he sat down with his father Stephen to explain, in simple drawings on 8" x 10.5" lined paper, how they would accomplish the manned landing on the moon. This particular image shows the Lunar Module would be extracted from the third stage of the Saturn rocket by the Command/Service Module about four hours into the flight. Important and historical. Blank verso. Excellent.

This lot will be accompanied by a signed COA from Neil Armstrong's brother, Dean.
