Description
Neil Armstrong Signature Obtained on the 1973 "African Eclipse Cruise." A beautiful, large (3.5" x 2.75" overall) example of Armstrong's autograph in blue ink on a 5" x 7" sheet of yellow lined notepaper. Professor Armstrong was one of many scientists and educators that participated in this cruise on the Cunard ship Canberra, June 22-July 8, 1973, to view one of the longest total solar eclipses in modern times. Included with the signed sheet is a snapshot photograph of Armstrong taken during one of his lectures and a Cruise Programme for June 25, 1973, mentioning his "Modern Exploration" lecture that afternoon.
