Description
NASA Mission Control: Insignia Color Photo Signed by Six Controllers. An 8" x 10" silk finish color photo on Kodak Professional paper of the Robert McCall-designed insignia for the Mission Control team. Boldly signed in various felt tips by six members of this legendary team: "Eugene F. Kranz/ 'White' Flight", "Glynn Lunney/ Flight Director", "Milton Windler/ Maroon Flight/ Apollo-Skylab", "John D. Hodge", "Jerry Bostick/ Flight Dynamics Officer", and "Gerry Griffin/ Gold Flight/ Apollo". These were men who directed America's manned space missions leading to and including six successful moon landings. The Latin along the top of the emblem, "Res Gesta Par Excellentiam," translates to "Achievement Through Excellence". A scarce grouping of important signatures. Milton Windler - A calm and steady leader, he directed several Apollo lunar missions, including Apollo 13, ensuring methodical responses under pressure.
John D. Hodge - Originally from England, he became an early Gemini and Apollo flight director known for his sharp intellect and direct management style.
Jerry Bostick - Serving as a flight dynamics officer and later in mission operations leadership, he contributed to trajectory solutions critical to Apollo mission success.
Gerry Griffin - A flight director for all the lunar landing missions after Apollo 11, he was instrumental in guiding crews safely to and from the Moon.
