Mercury-Redstone 3 (Freedom 7) and Mercury-Redstone 4 (Liberty Bell 7): Large Format Alan Shepard and Gus Grissom Business Suit Portraits, from the Personal Archives of NASA Legend Bill Taub. Two 10.75" x 13.5" B&W images on cardstock of the two Mercury astronauts posed with a Mercury-Redstone rocket and Mercury spacecraft in the background. Rarely seen in this size. Very fine.NOTE: The photos from this archive were the inspiration for the recent book by J. L. Pickering and John Bisney, Photographing America's First Astronauts, Project Mercury Through the Lens of Bill Taub. A beautiful book from the Purdue University Press. Highly recommended.
