Signed boldly in black felt tip: "Gordon Cooper/ Original 7 Mercury Astronaut/ Faith 7". Excellent.Gordon Cooper's MA-9 mission in 1963 was a significant milestone in the history of space exploration. This mission marked the longest and final flight of the Mercury program, with Cooper orbiting the Earth 22 times over nearly 34½ hours. Cooper's successful solo flight aboard Faith 7 demonstrated the capabilities of astronauts to work effectively in different spacecraft modes and environments, contributing valuable data to NASA's early space endeavors.
