Description

Bruce McCandless II Signed Large STS-41-B Untethered Spacewalk Color Photo, in Framed Display. A dramatic 19.5" x 15.5" (sight size) photo of McCandless floating in the blackness of space above Earth's bright blue horizon in an extravehicular activity (EVA) outside the cabin of the space shuttle Challenger. He used a nitrogen-propelled hand-controlled Manned Maneuvering Unit that he helped develop and was the first astronaut to perform an untethered EVA. He has signed in silver felt tip: "Bruce McCandless II/ STS 41-B". Archivally matted and framed to an overall 25.5" x 22". Excellent.
