Signed Aboard Air Force One.
Apollo 11 Crew-Signed Moon Plaque Color Photo. A 7" x 9.5" color photo of the metal plaque that was attached to the Lunar Module Eagle and left on the moon stating, in part: "We came in peace for all mankind." It has been mounted to a 10" x 12" white board and the astronauts have signed on the wide lower border: "Neil Armstrong", "M Collins", and "Buzz Aldrin". A wonderful and iconic item for display. Excellent condition.Included with this lot is a Letter of Authenticity from Burt Brown on Department of Homeland Security/ United States Secret Service letterhead stating: "This is an autographed original photo of all three Apollo 11 astronauts obtained from my father who was Chief Master Sergeant aboard Air Force One. My father was part of the crew of Air Force One that took the Apollo 11 astronauts on their around the world tour after the mission. This autograph was signed in person aboard Air Force One. This item has been in the family since it was acquired. My father and I are the only people to have had access to the photo."
