Description
Neil Armstrong's Personal NASA Leather Name Tag Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A 3" x 2" black leather tag with silver lettering: "Neil A. Armstrong/ National Aeronautics/ and/ Space Administration". On the verso is a small sticker: "Made by/ Holick's, Inc./ College Station, Texas". This company, founded in 1891, is still in business making fine leather goods (and Aggie Senior Boots). Their website states: "Over the years Holick's has made nametags for presidents, chiefs of staff, astronauts and visiting dignitaries." That includes this one for the first man on the moon. Crisp, unused. This would be a perfect addition to his Apollo flight suit later in this auction (Lot 50057). Sealed in a numbered archival holder, CAG 1001757-005.
