Description
NASA Silver Snoopy Award in Framed Display with Copy of Wally Schirra Written Statement. A 0.375" x 0.5" "Snoopy" tie tack/ pin with copy of 1968 letter penned by Wally Schirra explaining the importance of the award. Schirra states in part: "Soon you will see 'Snoopy the Astronaut' emblems worn on the lapels of some of your fellow workers. When you do, you will know that we who fly the Apollo Spacecraft regard this person as one of the best in the business". Both items professionally framed and double matted to an overall 13.25" x 17.25". Included are two copies of letters of commendation from North American Rockwell and NASA for recipient.
