Description
NASA Original Space Art: Three Paintings. From the estate of a long-time NASA Manned Spacecraft Center employee come these three large, striking pieces of art. (1) A 20" x 15" painting (on 30" x 22" board) of Mercury-Atlas 9 (Faith 7) in orbit around the earth. There is a clear overlay with the title: "Luminous Particles Seen At Sunrise on MA-9 Flight". Painting is in excellent condition; the outer margins of the board are waterstained; (2) A 20" x 15" painting (on 25" x 19" board) of a space capsule re-entering earth's atmosphere. There is a handwritten number, "S-201-17" at bottom. Painting is in very fine condition; the borders are stained; (3) A 14" x 11" painting (on a 20" x 17" board) of an early concept lunar module landing on the moon. Painting is in excellent condition; the board is heavily varnish-stained around the border.Auction Info
