Description
NASA Apollo Integrated Thermal Meteoroid Garment Boot, Size Eleven. A Beta cloth boot with Velcro strips on both sides inside for attachment to the spacesuit. Tag at inside back reads: "B Welson & Co., Inc/ 806 Wethersfield Ave/ Hartford, Conn./ Integrated Thermal/ Meteoroid Garment/ Type: I T M G - Size: 011/ Model: A - Serial No 09". The ITMG was worn by Apollo astronauts over the torso limb suit giving added thermal and micrometeoroid protection. This boot would have been underneath the EVA overshoe if used on the moon. Rarely offered and great for display. Not flown. Lightly worn, excellent.Auction Info
