Description
Saturn V Rocket Model, 1/200 Scale, Signed by Buzz Aldrin and George Takei. A high-quality, detailed model by Daron, 23.5" tall (overall) on a 6.5" x 6.5" x 1.5" black wooden base. An engraved plaque is attached: "ShareSpace Foundation's/ Apollo XI Anniversary Gala/ With Buzz Aldrin & Host George Takei/ July 23, 2016". It is nicely signed in silver felt tip on either side of the base: "George Takei" and "Buzz Aldrin". Excellent.The ShareSpace Foundation was founded by Aldrin in 1998, originally to promote space tourism and encourage space travel and exploration. It was re-launched in 2015 with a new focus- the benefits of the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) educational focus for both young people and society as a whole.
