Paul Tibbets Signed B-29 Enola Gay 1/72 Scale Model on Custom Stand, with Photographic Provenance. A handsome scale model of the B-29 Enola Gay boldly signed directly on the wing: "Paul Tibbets", the pilot who led the atomic bombing mission over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. This detailed model measures 22" at wingspan and 15" fuselage length. The 4.25"x 7" stand, features a plate with full information regarding the importance of this plane. This signed model commemorates a defining moment in 20th-century military history. Included is a snapshot color photo of Tibbets signing one of these models. Very fine.Auction Info
