Description
NASA Viking Program Mars Lander 1975 Metal Model from Model Development Laboratory. An impressive metal model sitting upon a 7" x 7" wooden base with adhered metal plate reading: "Viking '75 Lander". Model measures approximately 6" x 5" x 3.5" with satellite extended. Also features removable 5.5" removable surface sample boom. Model Development Laboratory label adhered to bottom of base. The Viking program was a very interesting and ambitious part of NASA's history, having successfully landing two crafts on the surface of Mars. Very interesting and displayable model and the first that Heritage has offered. Very fine.Auction Info
