Marx "Braniff Air Hostess" Fashion Doll Set, Emilio Pucci "Air Strip" Uniforms. A rare and highly collectible Marx "Braniff Air Hostess" fashion doll set, dating to approximately 1967, celebrating Braniff International Airways' revolutionary "Air Strip" flight attendant uniforms designed by legendary Italian couturier Emilio Pucci. Issued at the height of Braniff's celebrated "End of the Plain Plane" branding campaign, this set represents one of the most striking intersections of aviation history, high fashion, and mid-century toy design. The original display box features bold, high-modernist graphics in vibrant Pucci-inspired hues of lime green, magenta, turquoise, and yellow alongside slanted "BRANIFF AIR HOSTESS" typography characteristic of 1960s design language. A printed credit to Emilio Pucci underscores the couture pedigree of the uniforms reproduced within. The set includes a 12-inch brunette fashion doll, styled with a 1960s flip hairstyle and dressed in her base-layer white lace-trimmed lingerie, reflecting Pucci's theatrical "Air Strip" concept, where flight attendants removed coordinated outer layers throughout the flight to reveal colorfully layered ensembles.
