Description
Braniff International Airways Douglas DC-7C Desk Model (N5900). A finely executed 1:100 scale desk model of the Douglas DC-7C, finished in the classic Braniff International Airways red, white, and blue livery and marked N5900. Measuring an overall 21.5" x 18" x 10.5" when seated upon wood display base, the acrylic model features accurate DC-7C proportions with four Wright R-3350 engine nacelles and polished metal propellers, and crisp fuselage and wing markings. This type of model was commonly displayed in executive offices and airport lounges during the golden age of air travel. Some age-related wear, overall very fine.Auction Info
