Braniff International Airways Boeing 727-227 Display Model, Braniff II Livery. A handsome large-scale executive display model of a Boeing 727-200 in Braniff International Airways livery, finished in the airline's classic cream fuselage with bold red "BRANIFF" script and deep blue lower accent. Measuring 31" x 22" x 13" the model accurately captures the sleek tri-jet configuration that made the 727 one of the most recognizable short-to-medium haul jetliners of the Jet Age. Notable details include the T-tail assembly, three rear-mounted engines, correctly proportioned swept wings, cockpit glazing, and applied window striping. Introduced in the late 1960s, the stretched -200 series allowed Braniff to expand capacity on high-traffic routes while maintaining the aircraft's exceptional short-field performance. Large-scale Braniff executive models remain highly desirable due to the airline's cult design following and the relative scarcity of surviving corporate display pieces.
