Description
Baikonur Sputnik 1 Model, engraved to Ivan Borisenko and dated March 1980 from the Central Specialized Design Bureau. This model is a copy of the monument to Sputnik 1 at the Cosmodrome in Baikonur (Sputnik 1 launched on October 4, 1957). The inscription reads, "Here from earth a Soviet man began the first steps to the Cosmos." 5" x 3.75" x 8.75". Excellent condition.Auction Info
