Description

"Little Boy" Atomic Bomb 1:12 Scale Display Model. A highly detailed model of the uranium gun-type atomic bomb code-named Little Boy, the weapon dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, marking the first use of a nuclear device in warfare. Measuring an overall 11" x 3" x5", the acrylic mode accurately represents the distinctive cylindrical body with tapered nose section, cruciform tail assembly, and black-and-olive coloration associated with period documentation and museum examples. Bold black numerals "7" appear on both the fuselage and tail fins, consistent with markings seen in archival photographs of the weapon prior to deployment. Missing one lower Yagi antennae, otherwise excellent.
