Description
Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-2) Flown American Flag on Presentation Certificate. A 5.625" x 4.125" U.S. cloth flag mounted on an 8.5" x 11" printed certificate with facsimile signatures of Administrator James M. Beggs and crewmembers Joe Engle and Richard Truly. The printed text reads: "This Flag was flown aboard the second flight of the Space Shuttle 'Columbia' (STS-2), November 12-14, 1981. It is presented to you in recognition of the significant contribution you made to the success of the mission. Presented to..." The name that was originally there has been neatly excised; the new owner can place their own name there and impress their friends!
