Description

Space Shuttle Challenger (STS-6) Flown Malfunction Procedure Cue Card Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander Paul Weitz, Signed and Certified. A 6" x 8" (including tab) two hole punched, heavy card stock cue card. One tab states: "EPS CNTL/ESS" with "GNC" on the other. There is a small piece of Velcro present at top. STS-6 was the first ever flight of the Challenger; the mission took place between April 4-9, 1983, with four crewmembers- Weitz, Bobko, Peterson, and Musgrave. The Challenger eventually completed nine successful flights before the tragic STS-51L mission, January 28, 1986, that exploded seconds after launch, killing all seven aboard. Weitz has certified and signed at the top: "Malfunction cue card/ flown on STS-6/ From my personal collection/ Paul Weitz CDR." Very fine.
