Hubble Space Telescope Flown Segment of Multi-Layer Insulation Material. A 1" x 0.5" section of aluminized polyimide film contained in a 4.5" x 3.5" x 1" clear acrylic display with photos and detailed text,. #17of a limited edition of 75. This piece of film is from a "...blanket covering the exterior of the Hubble Space Telescope. It was removed on December 24, 1999 from the Support System Module's Bay 10 door during Servicing Mission 3A by STS-103 astronauts Steven Smith and John Grunsfeld. The material flew on-orbit more than 1.5 billion miles from the April 24, 1990 launch of STS-31 (Hubble deployment) to the STS-105 landing on December 27, 1999." Hubble material rarely turns up on the market. Still in original issue box. Excellent condition.
