Apollo 12 Lunar Module Flown American Flag on a Crew-Signed
Presentation Mat Originally from the Family Collection of Mission
Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon, with Signed Certificate of
Authenticity, in Framed Display. A 6" x 4" cloth U.S. flag that
has been placed on a 7.5" x 12.5" (sight size) crew-signed mat with
the following adhered text: "Sailed With Yankee Clipper/ And
Intrepid To The Ocean Of Storms/ November 1969". The bottom has
been signed in black ink: "Charles Conrad Jr.", "Dick
Gordon", and "Alan Bean". A 4" embroidered mission patch
has also been placed on the mat and framed to an overall 14" x 19".
Beautiful display piece, ready to hang. Excellent.Included with this lot is a signed COA from Gordon that reads, in full: "This American Flag Flew with Apollo XII Aboard Yankee Clipper And Intrepid to the Ocean of Storms. November 14-24, 1969. It is from my personal collection."
