Ex. Alan Bean

Apollo 12 Flown Space Treaty Certified and Signed by Mission Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean, from His Family Collection, with Certificate of Authenticity, in Framed Display. A 5.5" x 3.25" copy of the "Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies" printed on parchment paper. Bean has signed in the lower right corner: "Flown to the Moon/ Apollo XII/ Alan L Bean/ Nov". The treaty is beautifully matted and framed to an overall 9.5" x 14.25" with an Apollo 12 Beta cloth mission patch (unflown) and an engraved plate. A handsome and very displayable memento from man's second moon landing mission. Excellent. From the Family Collection of Moonwalker and Artist Alan Bean.

The Outer Space Treaty of 1967 establishes that outer space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies, is the province of all humankind and cannot be claimed by any one nation. It prohibits the placement of nuclear weapons in space, limits the use of the Moon to peaceful purposes, and holds nations internationally liable for damage caused by their space activities. The treaty also mandates that space exploration be conducted with due regard to the interests of all countries and in accordance with international law.
