Description

Apollo 11 Flown Kapton Foil Segment. A 0.5" x 0.5" square piece of the polyimide film that was a part of the thermal protection system for the Command Module Columbia on its historic flight in July 1969. This piece was removed from the spacecraft after splashdown by Rockwell employee O. W. Nasse in August 1969. It is attached to a Certificate of Authenticity from SpaceCoast Cover Service signed by owner Ken L. Havekotte. With Rockwell Apollo 11 command module/ mission fact sheet. Excellent.
