Apollo 11 Flown Kapton Foil Segment on Limited Edition, #1/4, U.S.S. Hornet Recovery Cover with Certificate of Authenticity. A philatelic cover bearing a small (1" x 0.25") piece of foil on an attractive cachet as removed by a member of the medical team aboard the recovery ship. A 6ยข "Apollo 8" stamp is affixed and hand-canceled aboard the Hornet on July 24, 1969, the splashdown date. Included is a matching COA signed and numbered by noted Space artist D. van Ravenswaay. Addressed. Excellent. From the Family Collection of Jacques Bracke.
