Apollo 11 Flown GE Apollo Cufflinks and Tie Clip Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Command Module Pilot Michael Collins, with Signed LOA. A handsome gold-colored set of jewelry, each portraying a man in a spacesuit on the moon with the earth in the background. On the back of each is the General Electric logo. GE was a major contractor and contributor to the success of the Apollo 11 mission. The astronauts' boots were made from their silicon rubber and the helmets were made from their Lexan plastic. In all, thirty-seven different GE operations were involved in that mission. In an unflown jewelry box. Excellent condition.

Included with this lot is a handwritten and signed Letter of Authenticity on his personal note card stating, in full: "These Apollo/ cuff links and/ tie clip were/ carried to the Moon/ aboard Apollo XI./ Michael Collins/ January 8, 2004" Also included is the original envelope in which he stored them with his handwritten notation: "Carried onboard/ Apollo 11/ -and not committed".
