Apollo 11 Flown Beta Cloth Mission Insignia Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™, Certified and Encapsulated by Collectibles Authentication Guaranty. A 6" x 6" swatch of Beta cloth with a 3.375" diameter mission insignia depicting an eagle carrying an olive branch to the moon with the Earth in the distance. This was flown aboard the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. Beta cloth is made from fire-safe Fiberglass Beta yarns, originated and developed by Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation. It was used in the space suits worn by the Apollo astronauts. A very desirable lunar-flown relic from this landmark mission. Excellent, sealed in a numbered archival sleeve. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
