Description
Luna 9 & 10 FAI Document Signed by the president and director general of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale. One page, Paris, 17.5" x 13.5", March 11, 1967. This large award document, given to the Russian space program for the Lavochkin Enterprise, recognizes the "first soft landing on the moon" of Luna 9 (February 3, 1966) and the "first spacecraft to orbit of the moon" by Luna 10, which was launched on March 31, 1966. This is one of two of the original F.A.I. award documents in French sent to the Soviet Union to be given to the Launch Organization and Design Scientists for their achievement.
