Jim Irwin "High Flight" Autograph Letter Signed with Transmittal Envelope. One page, 8.5" x 11", on High Flight Foundation letterhead, May 3, 1979, Colorado Springs. Irwin founded this organization after leaving NASA to promote the teachings of Christianity. He writes to Melvin Schuetz, as follows: "You are more than half way around the world. Sounds like an interesting assignment! Thanks for the picture and information on Woomera. My present plans call for me to be in Australia next February with primary activity around Sidney [sic]. I am interested in community speaking opportunities around the country. Can you offer any advice? Congratulations on your continuing contributions to our quality of life.
