Description
Donn Eisele Autograph Letter Signed "Donn," one page, 8" x 10.5". U.S. Peace Corps, Bangkok, Thailand, undated but 1972. On lightweight Peace Corps stationery to Joe Garino with original Peace Corps airmail envelope postmarked Bangkok, Thailand, September 2, 1972. In part, "El Tigre II to El Tigre I - Hello there! I see you're back in Houston. How's it going? We came out here the end of June...the job is great - and it's nice to be the boss for a change. Here's the letter with my signature. Now don't run out and sell it like those buddies at MSC! (Not unless I get a good percentage.)..." In July 1972, Colonel Eisele retired from the Air Force and left the space program to become Director of the U.S. Peace Corps in Thailand. From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino. This lot is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication from Garino verifying its provenance.Auction Info
