Buzz Aldrin: Two Important 1969 Awards Originally from His Personal Collection. Includes: (1) The AAS Flight Achievement Award Certificate to "Edwin E Aldrin Jr" by the American Astronautical Society, Inc. in 1969. "Presented annually to the pilot or crew who by outstanding ability and courage, has personally extended the frontiers of flight from the earth's environs into space." A 14.5" x 11.5" Perma Plaque in very fine condition; (2) The Ordre National De La Légion D'Honneur (National Order of the Legion of Honor) certificate awarded to Colonel Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. by the President of the Republic of France in 1969. 18" x 13.5" in size, fine condition. These would look great on your office wall.Auction Info
