Description
Buzz Aldrin's Owned and Worn January 2010 Antarctica Cruise Jacket (Signed) with National Geographic Rolling Tote Bag, and Signed Book, Originally from His Personal Collection, with Certificate of Authenticity. Aldrin has been entered into the Guiness World Records as the oldest man to have reached both poles (North Pole visited in 1998). This lot includes several items, as follows.Jacket: A Size Large "Ship to Shore Traveler" gray "Antarctica Layering System™" jacket. He has signed in block letters on the neck tag: "214/ Dr Buzz Aldrin". "Explorer" (Lindblad Expeditions/ National Geographic) logo on left chest. Several zippered pockets.
Rolling Tote: In yellow, black, and gray, approximately 22" tall (handle not extended), several zippered storage pouches. "National Geographic Channel" stitched on front.
Passport and Document Pouch and Luggage Tag: 6" x 10" blue zippered cloth case with "Explorer" logo on the front. Numerous pockets inside. 4.25" x 2.25" plastic luggage tag.
AND, because you will need reading material on your trip to the South Pole:
National Geographic Special Edition: Astronauts Past, Present, Future by Patricia Daniels, soft cover book, heavily illustrated.
Signed Book: Men From Earth Bantam paperback edition, first printing. Signed in black ink on the title page: "Buzz Aldrin". Rarely seen signed.
