Ex. Alan Bean
Apollo 11 Launch Invitation Signed by the Crew for Alan Bean,
Directly from His Family Collection, with Certificate of
Authenticity. A colorful 5" x 3" card with the mission insignia
on the front along with the NASA logo and "John F. Kennedy Space
Center." The verso is numbered "No. 2962" and signed in facsimile
by Kurt H. Debus as KSC Director who states that this is for the
bearer's personal use and may be kept as a souvenir afterwards.
Based on our experience, these are rarely (if ever) seen signed by
the full crew, especially for a fellow astronaut that would soon be
traveling to the moon himself. Age-toned, signed in black felt
tips. Fine.Included with this lot is a COA signed by then-wife Sue R. Bean stating that she attended this launch with him and that this item remained in his possession until his death.
