"Mercury Seven" Astronauts: Collection of Signed Material. Six items obtained by NASA test pilot and Langley insider Bob Sommer for his daughter Laurinda: (1) Gus Grissom (1926-1967)- An 8" x 10" business suit color NASA lithograph signed in ballpoint by autopen and authentically in black felt tip: "Regards [smeared] to Laurinda Kay/ Gus" ; (2) Wally Schirra (1923-2007)- An 8" x 10" spacesuit color NASA lithograph signed in light blue ballpoint: "W M Schirra Jr"; (3-4) Scott Carpenter- Two different 8" x 10" business suit color NASA lithographs, one signed: "For Laurinda Kay/ with best wishes/ M. Scott Carpenter", the other signed: "Scott Carpenter"; and (5-6) John Glenn- An 8" x 10" business suit color NASA lithograph signed: "J H Glenn Jr." and an 8" x 10.5" four-page brochure about Glenn's Project mercury flight signed: "Best regards to my friend/ Laurinda Kay-/ John H. Glenn, Jr". The items are in overall very good condition; many of the photos have staple holes in the margins.Auction Info
