Description

Gemini 7 Flown Silver-Colored Fliteline Medallion. The obverse of this 25mm medal features the mission insignia depicting the Roman numeral "VII", a Gemini space capsule, and an Olympic torch, said to symbolize the marathon nature of the 1965 flight. The reverse bears the crew surnames, "GT-7", and the engraved dates of the mission. Between December 4th and 18th, 1965, crewmembers Frank Borman and James Lovell orbited the Earth 206 times, a space endurance record that would stand for five years. Excellent condition.
