Description

German V-2 Rocket: A Significant Fragment of the Combustion Chamber, with Valves. A rusted piece of metal 4.5" x 3" x 1.5" (overall) in size, a piece of this early project of Wernher von Braun. V-2 stands for the German Vergeltungswaffen 2, the second in a series of retaliatory or reprisal weapons seeking vengeance for the Allied bombing of German cities. The V-2 was the first artificial object to travel into Space by crossing the Kármán Line. Metal totally rusted and crumbling, yet a necessary addition to any collection of the history of rocketry. Poor.
