Description
Complete Apollo Command Module Tool Kit. Incredibly rare complete Apollo CM tool kit, complete in the white nylon fitted pouch marked "Tool Kit" (part number V36-601517). The tools include: 3 jackscrews, one marked "Class III - Not Suitable for Flight" (part number V36-553007); tether (part number V36-601311-21); screwdriver attachment marked "Class III - Not Suitable for Flight" (part number V36-601513); torque set driver (part number V16-601531); Allen tool (part number V16-60133-21); U-joint tool (part number V36-601410-11); adjustable wrench (part number V16-601310-41, dated February 21, 1967); handle adapter (part number V36-601405-11); emergency wrench (part number V36-601400-11); ratchet wrench (part number V36-601511; torque tip marked "Class III - Not Suitable for Flight" (part number V36-601515); torque tip marked "Class III - Not Suitable for Flight" (part number V36-601514) and 3/8" socket marked "Class III - Not Suitable for Flight" (part number V36-601512). Each tool is fitted in its own pouch with Velcro flap closures and labeled with stenciled cotton tape. The Apollo Stowage List lists the tool kit as "Stowed Operational" aboard the Command Module. The kit remains in remarkable condition with some scattered rust stains and holes likely made during storage from the sharp edges of the tools against the nylon bag. This would be a major addition to even the most advanced space collection.Auction Info
